Mystery Image of Christ Found on Wedding Group Shot Photo! PDF Print E-mail

Jesus Christ. Its always nice to get some feedback from a client, but complaints although rare are sometimes difficult to deal with.

“ Dear Mr Pye – the world’s greatest living wedding photographer. It was great to finally get my wedding photos after all these years. Especially as my first husband has been dead since 1974, still its nice to see all those old faces in grainy black and white. You just don’t get prints like that any more. However I do have one query, several people have pointed out that they can see a vague image of Christ in one of the group photos taken outside the Church and since the local paper has picked up on it I’m inundated with pilgrims from all over the world. They are really getting on my nerves and messing up the front lawn.

There must be about 5000 people out there now.
Is there anything you can do to rectify this, like photoshopping the Christ image out of the picture?

Kind regards

Maud

PS. Offending photo attached “

Mad bitch – I can’t see it myself so I sent out my stock answer to this kind of complaint.

“ Dear Mrs Maud – I have no recollection of ever being at your wedding and personally can’t see even the faintest image of Jesus in your wedding photos. I suggest you get your eyes tested. Anyway its not uncommon for Jesus to pop up at a wedding – you are outside a Church for Christ’s sake.

Jesus, some people are never happy.

Kind regards

Derek Pye - the world’s greatest living wedding photographer.

See what you think.

The question really is weathe r you believe in Jesus as a real person and so
beleive in common depictions of Christ in Art and films. The figure in the centre
of your image could just be a guest who has seen such films and paintings and
has decided to attend the wedding dressed in this way.

keep up the good work

Thats not Jesus, its a piece of cunningly burnt toast that only looks like jesus if you you half close your eyes and look directly at the sun.

Glad you're still alive Derek. The world would be a far safer place without you.

Derek.

The person standing next to the brides mother seems to be smiling at something directly in front of and slightly to her right which I swear would be the exact height of an uplifted armpit.

But on second thought why in the world would anyone smile at an uplifted armpit??????

Please forgive me for letting my imagination run amock.

As always I remain one of your endless numbers of most humble worldwide followers.

William.

I don't know who the idiot was, but he put up his hand trying (unsuccessfully) to hide the Flying Spaghetti Monster. The FSM can be clearly seen in the upper right corner. His noodly appendages doubled themselves, and the guy in the toga didn't have the coordination to put one hand in front of each appearance.

Thank you for what is likely to be the only news article I read this particular day (whatever its particular significance is supposed to be). Also, greetings from one of the greatest wedding photographers on the wrong side of the pond.

Jesus really is a modern man - he seems to have shaved his oxters. That gravel he's standing on looks quite uncomfortable - he would probably have been better off with wellies.

Hi Derek. Unless I am very much mistaken I detect a little photoshop tom foolery here. Brilliant though you undoubtedly are, the lady on the left does not seem to have a shadow to her left, when the light source is clearly coming from a high right position.

On an entirely different note, I think I may have discovered a gap in the photography market. Funerals. Surely a moment that should be imortalised for ever is the event where we lay loved ones and annoying gits in their final resting place. Whats so brilliant about it is all the wedding techniques can still be used - standards photos of the deceased spouse, children, immediate family etc, and then perhaps a few large shots of all and sundry maybe tossing their hats into the air at once. I think it would also be appropriate to use the Schindler.

It might also give you the opportunity to cross sell with some of your existing clients - maybe a generous 20% off, or even 30% off for regulars (say those that have been married 3 times or more).

All I ask in return for this flash of billiance is a 40% stake in your company. Get back to me when you can.
